CVMS Schola Sing at Royal British Legion's Service of Commemoration
We are greatly honoured that with the support of the Catenian Association, twelve members of the Vaughan's Schola Cantorum sang at the Royal British Legion's Service of Commemoration on Wednesday 5 June 2024 to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings in Bayeux War Cemetery.
Mr Price, Director of Music at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, commented: "What a privilege to be part of this beautiful service and most of all to meet some of the D-Day veterans. I am very proud of the boys, singing live on Sky News and the BBC as part of the D-Day Commemoration in Bayeux War Cemetery."
The event is held for Normandy and WW2 veterans, families of the fallen, and descendants of Normandy veterans. It is a great honour for the Schola to have been asked to sing at this national act of commemoration, given in the presence of members of the Royal Family.
